Lynelle & Silviane
Lynelle and Silviane Franqui-Howey, reside in West Chester, near Philadelphia.
Lynelle originally moved to the Philly area to get her Masters in Social Work
from Temple University after earning a Bachelors in Spanish at Geneseo. For
several years she was an addictions counselor for Presbyterian Hospital,
University of Pennsylvania Hospital and Temple University Hospital.
During the 2000-2001 school year she was a case worker at school and
in fall 2001 she began teaching Spanish at Kensington High School while
pursuing a second masters at LaSalle. She received a Masters in Education
in May 2004. In January 2005 she began teaching Spanish in the elementary
grades at two schools of the Marple-Newtown district. She is certified in
both English and Spanish and for the 2009-10 school year will be teaching
middle school English.
Lynelle loves to travel nearly anywhere, but particularly to Europe and
has made several trips to, and has many friends in, Spain and Germany.
Some years Lyn and Silvi have joined us for an RV week in the Adirondacks.
Probably not the equal of Spain, but we liked having them along.
Silviane, Lynelle's pride and joy, was born in December of 2003.
She is an articulate and very enjoyable grandchild. She particularly enjoys
reading and dancing and loves peanut butter and turkey pepperoni. We're pretty
sure the PB & pepperoni were inherited from Gramps, but definitely not the dancing.
